Portuguese Food

I sampled Portuguese food for the first time yesterday in honor of Sarah’s visit to Portugal. A coworker and I went to Nando’s in the heart of Reading. He had grown up with Nando’s in Kenya–apparently it is a South African chain that is very widespread across Africa. My chicken breast sandwich with pineapple was quite good. It was surprisingly spicy; I am not sure how the sensitive English taste buds handle it.

  1. Yes everything in England does seem mild, mellow or bland by other nation’s standards.

  2. Except the Indian Currys and Thai Restaurants. Canteen curry’s don’t count, get yourselves into a proper Indian curry house…
