American Chocolate Chip Cookies

I baked chocolate chip cookies Wednesday morning to take in for a team meeting.  I wasn’t sure how people would like the American recipe and American chocolate chips.

As I sort of expected there were two camps.

1. Those who thought the cookies were too sweet.  (which I totally understand as Brits are used to baked goods with less sugar)

2.  Those who love sugar and inhaled copious numbers of the cookies.

  1. Sarah, there was a third camp. Those who thought that they had probably exacerbated their diabetes… ;-)

Wow! They look really yummy, Sarah! We have had the same “too sweet” response from our Eastern European “kids!” Guillaume and Sophie (France and Germany) LOVE all the sweet stuff. Our Slovakian and Estonian kids can’t believe how much sugar can fit in a little cookie. Taavi, from Estonia, was eating a Scotcheroo, said “Too sweet,” and then proceeded to eat 3 more! We find that the longer they are here, the more corrupted their eating habits get :)

  3. For what it’s worth, your kitchen looks beautiful.

  4. love the back splash!
